INTRODUCING KARMA NESCI
Karma Nesci is the artist name of Carmelo Nesci, an Italian singer-songwriter, guitarist, meditator, and a fellow soul on this journey of self-discovery, currently based in Malmö (Sweden).
After his experiences with Vipassana meditation and plant medicine retreats, he dedicates himself to cultivating and sharing unconditional love through his art and practices, including concerts, meditation and Kirtan events, as well as cacao ceremonies.
Music brought him to live, compose, and perform in Bologna, Helsinki, Amsterdam and Copenhagen before moving to Malmö in 2024, where he is currently co-creating music, art and mindfulness events within the vibrant international community of the city.
His experience as a migrant and a dreamer as well as his child-like curiosity can be heard in his music. Karma's songs tell stories of inner visions, spiritual realizations and positive affirmations; refugees and people moving in search of a better future; love and the process of growing up through life’s challenges, lessons and lullabies.
Soothing, mesmerizing and dreamy are some of the words used to describe his music by those who had the pleasure of seeing him live.
His first EP Liver was recorded in Amsterdam, and self-released in 2019.
Karma Nesci’s debut album Contemporary Landscapes (March 2022) was supported by KODA's cultural funds, and has been mostly recorded and produced in Copenhagen.
Karma Nesci is currently working on his new album of original songs inspired by the world within and without, mindfulness and medicine music, which will be released in 2026.
Concert
Karma Nesci’s concert is a journey through sounds, songs, stories and genres. With his voice and guitars he will guide you into his sonic world through medicine music, folk, indie and bossa nova inspired chords, as well as Tibetan bowls, wind chimes, flute and kalimba.
He plays songs from his recently released album Contemporary Landscapes, as well as new numbers yet to be recorded and a few of his favourite covers.
And there is always room for what will spontaneously happen in the moment. Soothing, mesmerising and dreamy are some of the words used to describe his music.
